Agent-Found Companies

When you upload drawings and documents, the agent reads the title blocks and finds the consultants, contractors and suppliers named on them, along with contact details where they’re shown. Nothing goes into your Directory until you approve it. Found companies wait in a queue for you to approve or dismiss.

Find the queue

Click Directory in the left rail. Found companies appear above the project’s own list:

  • Pending approval — companies ready for your yes or no, with the count in brackets.
  • Needs your call — companies the agent couldn’t match with confidence, for example when two existing companies look alike. These need you to pick the right one.

Neither section shows when there’s nothing waiting.

Approve or dismiss a company

  1. Click the company’s name to open it and check its details.
  2. To approve, click the tick (Approve) and choose a role under Approve as role. The role the agent suggests is marked (suggested) at the top.
  3. To dismiss, click the × (Dismiss).

Approved companies move to Project contacts with their role, ready to assign RFIs, reviews and bids to. Dismissed ones disappear from the queue; the drawings they came from are unchanged.

Approve or dismiss them all

When more than one company is waiting, the Pending approval heading shows Approve all (each takes its suggested role) and an × to Dismiss all. Dismiss all asks you to confirm first. Companies you’ve already approved are never touched.

In the Directory log (⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) → Directory), set the filter to Needs approval to see them as a table, and use Approve all or Reject all for everything the filter shows. Click a pending company there to see which documents it was found in, with Approve and Reject buttons. Picking a Role from its row menu approves it with that role.

Resolve “Needs your call”

  1. Click the company under Needs your call to expand it. You’ll see why the agent stopped, and what the document showed — role, phone, website, address, where it was found and any contacts.
  2. Search the directory for the company it really is and pick it, choosing the role.
  3. If it isn’t a company at all — a stamp, a drafter’s initials — click Not a company.

Tips

  • Work through the queue soon after uploading a drawing set: the project’s consultants and trades go into your Directory in a few clicks.
  • Check the role before approving. The agent’s suggestion comes from the title block and is usually right, but a “consultant” may be your structural engineer.
  • Add missing emails after approving — they’re what RFI, submittal and bid links are sent to.
