Connecting Your Tools

Framework connects to the tools your team already uses. File storage connections let you import PDFs into a project’s Files. Data connections bring schedules, staffing and logs into a project’s Data tab, where the agent can read them too.

What you can connect

  • File storage — Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint. Import drawings, specs and other PDFs into Files.
  • Scheduling — Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 (uploaded .xer files).
  • Workforce — Bridgit Bench, for who’s staffed on each project.
  • Spreadsheets & lists — Microsoft Excel workbooks and SharePoint Lists, for logs and trackers.

Workspace connections and personal connections

  • Just you. File storage connections are personal. They use your own account, and only you can import through them. Nobody else in the workspace sees your files.
  • Workspace. Data connections such as Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint Lists and Bridgit Bench are shared with everyone in the workspace. Workspace admins manage them.
  • Either. Microsoft Planner can be connected for the whole workspace or just for you.

If you’re not an admin, a workspace connection you can’t manage shows A workspace admin can connect this.

Connect file storage

  1. Click your initials in the top-right corner, then Workspace settings.
  2. In the left menu, under Workspace, click Integrations.
  3. Find the service under File storage and click Connect.
  4. Sign in to that service and allow access. You come back to the Integrations page, and the row shows Connected.

Connect project data

Data sources are connected from inside a project, so you can choose what comes in at the same time. In the project, open Data in the left rail and click + Connect. See Project Data Tab.

Once a data source is connected, it also appears on the Integrations page so you can reconnect or remove it.

Reconnect or remove a connection

Each connected service shows its status next to it:

  • Connected — working normally.
  • Finishing sign-in — the sign-in hasn’t completed yet.
  • Needs reconnecting — access has expired or been revoked. Reconnect it.
  1. On the Integrations page, click the … menu beside the connection’s status.
  2. Choose Reconnect to sign in again, or Remove to disconnect it.

Removing a workspace connection affects everyone. Its projects stop syncing and its synced records are deleted from Framework. Nothing changes in the tool itself. Removing a personal storage connection only affects you. Documents you already imported stay in Files.
