Framework shows you exactly what the AI is doing at every step. This transparency is a core feature — you always know how the AI arrived at its answer.
Thinking Display
When the AI processes your question, you can see its thinking — the internal reasoning it uses to plan its approach. The thinking section is expandable and shows:
- How the AI interpreted your question.
- What search strategy it’s using.
- Which documents it plans to examine.
- How it’s connecting information across sources.
Tool Execution
As the AI uses its tools, you see real-time updates:
- Searching documents — Shows what the AI is searching for and which documents matched.
- Reading sections — Shows which specific pages the AI is reading.
- Creating/editing notes — Shows the note being created or modified (in Act Mode).
Each tool execution appears as a card in the chat with a status indicator showing whether it’s in progress or complete.
Why Transparency Matters
In construction, trusting AI output is critical. Framework’s transparency lets you:
- Verify the process — See exactly which documents and pages the AI consulted.
- Catch gaps — Notice if the AI missed a relevant document.
- Build confidence — Understand that answers are grounded in your actual project documents, not general knowledge.
