A builder’s-side review of the documents before tender or construction. Every issue is caught on paper, logged against the sheets it sits on, and ready to price or raise as an RFI.
What you get
- Ref # and description – DR-001 onward, one issue per row, with the actual dimension, tag or note from each sheet involved.
- Document ref – Exact sheet and detail numbers and specification sections.
- Severity – High if it will cost money, delay the work or fail inspection; medium if it changes a trade price or needs a design answer; low for housekeeping.
- Type and category – The discipline the fix sits with, and whether it’s code, coordination, quality or constructability.
- Comments – What should change and who should change it, with the price or schedule effect where there is one.
How it works
- The agent inventories the set – disciplines, sheets, revisions, specs and reports.
- Before reading a sheet, it agrees coverage, categories and approach with you – by area, by discipline pair or by category.
- It reviews one part at a time, logs the issues, and shows you a table and the count by severity before moving on.
- On a reissued set, it marks items resolved or closed and logs what the reissue introduced.
- When the scope is done, it reports the counts and the five items that matter most, and offers to raise RFIs from the items you pick.
Try asking
- Review the architectural against the structural for coordination issues, start with the parking levels.
- Check the code sheets and floor plans for exiting, fire separations and barrier-free issues.
- The 100% CD set just came in. Update the design review log and tell me what’s still open.
