Your master submittal schedule, built at contract award. Every submittal the spec requires, dated so the material is on site when the schedule needs it.
What you get
- One submittal per row – Numbered by spec section (“03 30 00-1”), with the section, title and paragraph that requires it.
- Description – What it covers and what it must show, in the specification’s terms.
- Type, source and reviewer – Product data, shop drawings, samples, warranties and the rest, each marked contract, builder or best practice.
- Submit-by date – Worked back from the required-on-site date through review, fabrication and delivery days. Every row gets a date.
- Notes – The condition that drives each date, any resubmission cycle, and an expedite flag on anything already late.
How it works
- The agent inventories the specs, contract and schedule, and reads 01 33 00 and 01 78 00 first for review periods, numbering and closeout timing.
- It agrees coverage, closeout and builder items, and the order with you.
- It works one division group at a time, shows you the rows, the count by type and anything late or tight, and waits for your go-ahead before moving on.
- It reports the total, the counts by type and division, what’s late or due in the next 30 days, and the sections with no submittals.
Try asking
- Build the submittal log for divisions 03 to 09. Include closeout items.
- Go through the mechanical specs and tell me which submittals are already late against the schedule.
- Add the builder items to the submittal log – schedule of values, safety plan, insurance and WSIB.
