Construction is famous for a fragmented data ecosystem. The data from your schedule doesn’t talk to the data from your RFI log and other systems. AI models are only as good as the data in front of them meaning their uses within the construction industry are limited..
Today Framework is taking the first step to change this with our new Data Connectors feature.
What is a data connection?

A data connection is an integration to a third party system that allows you to bring your data into Framework. We’ve built pre-made connections that allow you to import your data into Framework so it can be analyzed with AI alongside your other project information.
How do data connections work?
Data connections work by first, authorizing your selected platform to integrate with Framework. Once the initial step is complete you’ll select which data you want imported, and how often you want it synced.
As an example – you can select Microsoft Planner to import project schedules, and sync them hourly or weekly to bring in regular updates into the system.
Data connections connect to your favourite platform via their API.
How do AI agents interact with the construction data?
AI models can read the data that you choose to bring into Framework – they do this with a tool call. Data that has not been imported into Framework cannot be accessed.
Given the unique nature of data within the construction industry (ie schedule data looks different then Each connection that we build has been custom built to format the data that exists in your platform into a usable structure by our AI.
What platforms do you support?
At launch we currently support the following platforms:
- Microsoft Planner
- Microsoft Project
- Primevera P6
- Microsoft Excel
- Sharepoint lists
- Bridgit Bench
More connections are to follow in the coming weeks and months ahead.
What’s next?
Long term, we intend to help make Framework the glue on your construction project. Ask your agent to read your drawings, then issue an RFI in Procore, and update your schedule in Project and save it to Box. We’re working our way towards this – but building the system takes time and you as users will see more of that come together in the coming months.
What does that actually mean? Two way sync with the platforms, MCP integration and more.
