Over the past several weeks the team at Framework has been hard at work updating our UI to be more user friendly, and making changes that will help us in our next phase of growth. Today we’re excited to launch our design refresh.
Improved navigation and polish
In Framework’s previous iteration, we had a single sidebar with toggles at the top. The feedback from users, and from our development team was that this forced all of the content into one of three places and made it overwhelming.
To help, we brought back the left rail, and introduced five new modules:
- Workspace: this is where all of the content that you or your AI models generate get’s saved. Estimates, notes, schedules etc can all be accessed and created from here.
- Agent: Agent can be used to quickly access any of your AI chats, or setup routines to have agents run on your information regulary
- Files: Upload your project information here and have it quickly indexed by our vision models for use in your chat.
- Directory: when our AI agents identify contact information in your documents, it’s added to your project directory automatically. Our background agents then search the web to help enrich the data.
- Data: A new feature for Framework allowing you to import 3rd party data into our system.
Throughout the web app – we’ve really focused on polishing the experience for our users.
Provider and AI model selection
For some time now we’ve been experimenting with opening up our agent selection. Today we bring that to you. We now provide support for all of the major AI models within Framework. Simply select which model you want to work with, and start typing.
The model that you select will be the primary model you converse with – with that said, we utilize specific models on subagents and other tasks to more reliably provide you with the answers you need. As new models are released, we will work to bring them to you as quickly as possible.
Playbooks: Industry Expertise and Examples
Playbooks are a new feature in Framework that we think many of you will find valuable. They can now be accessed via your project home page, or via a drop down in the agent input.
A playbook is a set of instructions and samples, that direct the model on how to perform a task.
The team at Framework has a combined 75 years in construction – managing projects across Canada and the United States. We’ve put that experience to good use and have developer over 15 different playbooks for users. These include AI playbooks for: estimating, schedule creation, value engineering, project briefs, drawing reviews, permit logs, tender packages and more. Each of these is backed by real world examples for various asset classes and use cases.
Our team will be working on releasing more of these in the coming weeks and months ahead.
